Uniform Policy

Los Cerritos Uniform Policy

The purpose of the uniform policy is to establish a positive school climate which ultimately results in a quality educational environment for all students.  We appreciate your commitment to sending your child to school every day, prepared to learn in his/her school uniform. If your child is out of uniform, your child’s teacher will email the parent to notify of the uniform infraction. If this becomes a recurring out-of-uniform problem then the office will call to let parents know of the uniform policy.  In cases of economic hardship, help in obtaining uniforms is available. For more information, call our school office.  If your child had a bathroom accident, the office will change the child out and call the parent about the bathroom accident.  Please label all jackets, sweaters, coats, lunch pails, and other personal belongings with your child’s full name.  Each year many articles of clothing are unclaimed.  Labeled items will be identified and returned.  Encourage your child to check the lost and found cart near the auditorium whenever they lose an article of clothing.  To recycle used uniforms that are in good condition, please drop them off at the nurse’s office.  



** Picture day dress code:     *Fall pictures, students are to wear their uniform.  

                                                       *Spring pictures, students may have free dress 

Miscellaneous:  Free or special dress days will be announced by the Principal
